During Yoga Nidra, your consciousness is expanded and experienced at an extremely deep level through relaxing your body and stilling your mind. Ordinary sleep is a static condition; Yoga Nidra is a dynamic state
In today’s stressed out, fast and often high anxiety life styles we are often so caught up in the ‘Doing’ that we overlook the ‘Being ‘.Yoga Nidra takes us beyond the faster beta waves of ordinary waking consciousness ‘Doing’ to the alpha and theta states of consciousness where we can access our ‘Being ‘states. Scientists recognize the fact that slower alpha brain waves are connected to deep relaxation, creativity and meditation.
The benefits of taking the time to stop and allow yourself to be soothed are innumerable and include-
• Peaceful sleeps
• Clearer mind
• Greater levels of energy and creative flow
• A general sense of well being
Proven Benefits-
• Relieve stress and mental tension

• In some diabetics, relaxation can reduce the need for insulin

• Breaks the train of everyday thought and decreases the activity of the sympathetic nervous system
• increases the Human Growth Hormone (Gama) which does wonders for older adults and reducing chronic pain
