Arcadia was painted as a vision of another dimension, where time unfolds not in a straight line but in a circular rhythm. The figures wear a fusion of styles, blending a French revolutionary headdress with elements of ancient Egyptian costume. A pink poodle sits surrealistically within the form of an Egyptian goddess, while wild cats generate alchemical fire.
The figures are shown capturing this elemental fire as it spirals in a DNA-like formation into an alchemical vessel. Painted alla prima, the work expresses a visionary narrative , perhaps set on another planet, beneath a different star system, familiar yet otherworldly.
